200,000 Copies of the Bitmap Roguelike Absolum Sold

Despite a crowded release calendar that included heavy hitters like Battlefield 6, Little Nightmares 3, and Hades 2, Dotemu’s Absolum has managed to distinguish itself.

Following positive critical reception, the publisher confirmed sales exceeding 200,000 copies and unveiled a new trailer showcasing the game’s accolades.

Developed by Dotemu, Guard Crush Games, and Supamonks, the title is a beat ’em up supporting up to two players. It melds a combat system reminiscent of Streets of Rage 4 with roguelite elements and branching paths through a vast world. Each character features unique special attacks, can learn additional moves, and bolster abilities with elemental modifiers.

Absolum is available on PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
