Some viewers would have liked to see a romantic storyline develop between the characters in the series inspired by Fallout.
Actress Ella Purnell, who portrays Lucy in Amazon’s Fallout series, addressed fan theories about a possible romance between her character and the Ghoul (Walton Goggins). In an interview with Geek Culture, she responded to a question about fans “shipping” the two.
“I get asked about this all the time. It’s telling that people ask me rather than him. What would I say? Honestly — get some help. You can’t fix him. You can’t save him. Let it go. What exists between the Ghoul and Lucy is a tender, profound bond; both of them are searching for the people they care about. And that’s where I’d leave it.”
The new season of Fallout premieres on December 17, 2025, on Prime Video.
