Monster Train 2 Set to Launch on Mobile by the End of 2026
Monster Train 2 Is Coming to Mobile and Nintendo Switch 2
Big Fan Games and Shiny Shoe have announced that Monster Train 2 will launch on Android and iOS by the end of 2026. The card-based roguelike is also coming to Nintendo Switch 2.
In the sequel, the powerful Titans have conquered Heaven, forcing angels and demons to unite against a common enemy. Players lead the alliance aboard a train, fighting across three floors. As enemies climb through the train, players must position their fighters and play spells to protect its heart.
Players can choose from five new clans and almost all the clans from the first game, which unlock as they progress. Their abilities can be combined when building a deck. New equipment cards strengthen individual creatures, while room cards change battle conditions on a chosen floor.

Monster Train 2 launched on PC in May 2025 and has received “Very Positive” reviews on Steam. Its The Punished expansion is scheduled for November 10, 2026. It introduces a clan led by Arcus, a boss from the first game. The clan’s fighters grow stronger as they take damage, and cards can be sacrificed to the Monolith for additional boosts.
The expansion will also be available on mobile devices and Nintendo Switch 2, though it has not been confirmed whether it will be included with the base game on those platforms. An exact mobile release date has not been announced.
