The Pokémon Company Teases a Surprise Reveal This Month

The Pokémon Company has marked the franchise’s 30th anniversary throughout 2026 with a range of celebrations, including Poké Ball-inspired logos for every Pokémon—more than 1,000 in all. Now, those designs appear to be part of a countdown to a mystery announcement later this month.

In October, the company’s Japanese X account shared two logos featuring the numbers 1,025 and 843. As Serebii webmaster Joe Merrick noticed, the posts appeared exactly 182 hours apart—the same as the difference between the two numbers. Both pointed to 14:00 UTC, or 9 a.m. EST, on November 30.

A third logo posted on November 2 strengthened the countdown theory. It featured the number 676 and appeared exactly 676 hours before the same time on November 30.

The latest design also includes new Japanese text beneath the logo. According to Merrick, it roughly translates to “Continue with Pokémon.” What that phrase might be teasing remains unclear.

Could a new Pokémon Winds and Waves trailer be on the way?

One possibility is an update on the next mainline games, Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves. Both are expected in 2027, though neither has a confirmed release date. Most Pokémon releases for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 have arrived in the fall, with Pokémon Legends: Arceus being an exception, so a fall 2027 launch is a possibility rather than a certainty.

A second trailer may feel a little early, but The Pokémon Company could introduce another Pokémon or share a release date. The countdown might also have nothing to do with a particular game. With Pokémon spanning numerous forms of entertainment, it could lead to another anniversary promotion, such as the “What’s your favorite Pokémon?” Super Bowl ad released earlier this year.

For now, fans will have to wait until November 30 to see what the countdown brings. Meanwhile, the anniversary merchandise lineup includes a miniature Pokémon jukebox, a giant Snorlax rug, luggage with windows for plush toys, LEGO sets, Polaroid cameras, shoes, and more.
