Mass Effect Legendary Edition to Get Major Fan-Made Multiplayer Update on N7 Day
Modders plan to bring Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer mode to Mass Effect Legendary Edition, restoring a feature left out of the collection.
The now-closed studio BioWare brought the Mass Effect trilogy back in Mass Effect Legendary Edition, but the collection included only the single-player campaigns.
Modding group ME3Tweaks recently announced the multiplayer project on N7 Day, saying the long-awaited mode would arrive soon.
The cooperative mode lets players fight a variety of enemies. The modders said it will not be a “simple port,” as they are preparing technical, gameplay and graphical improvements, making it something like a remastered version of the multiplayer mode.
The project will also add new modes, including “Unified,” which combines enemies from different factions.

On November 7, some fans plan to hold a mass gaming marathon in Mass Effect Legendary Edition and other games. They hope to increase activity and show Electronic Arts that interest in the franchise remains.
