Percy Jackson Season 3 Trailer Introduces New Cast Members

Disney has released a new trailer for season 3 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, a few weeks before its premiere. The next chapter of the Rick Riordan adaptation covers the 2007 novel The Titan’s Curse and looks set to be the show’s darkest season yet.

In the trailer, Percy sets out to save Annabeth, bringing him into conflict with the titan Atlas. He also clashes with Thalia Grace, the demigod daughter of Zeus, and rescues the mysterious di Angelo siblings. The trailer features locations familiar to readers, including the Hoover Dam.

The creators are taking some liberties with characters such as Annabeth and Nico. Season 3 also takes the adaptation past the midpoint of Riordan’s original five-book series.

Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri return as Percy, Annabeth and Grover, respectively. The cast also includes Dafne Keen as Artemis, Ming-Na Wen as Hera and Kate McKinnon as Aphrodite. Olive Abercrombie and Levi Chrisopulo play Bianca and Nico di Angelo.

Rachel Elizabeth Dare does not appear in the trailer, leaving fans to wait and see who will play the character. Season 3 premieres on Disney+ and Hulu on Nov. 20.

Has Disney renewed Percy Jackson and the Olympians for a fourth season?

Disney has not officially greenlit a fourth season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The company confirmed season 3 months before season 2 was released.

Disney has ordered an adaptation of Riordan’s Kane Chronicles, though that does not confirm whether Percy Jackson and the Olympians will continue.

Fans have already seen one adaptation of the original books end before completing the series. The Titan’s Curse marks a shift in tone that continues through the books’ conclusion, with two of the original five novels still to adapt after season 3.
