Xbox Faces New Major Restructuring and Hundreds of Layoffs

Xbox plans to lay off hundreds of employees as early as this week and carry out a new restructuring that may also affect several studios.

Journalist Andy Robinson reported that he is “hearing about more bad news related to Xbox coming soon.” Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier also stated: “Layoffs at Blizzard are coming and close.” Microsoft and Blizzard have not yet officially announced any new reductions.

The situation may also affect Halo. Insider NateTheHate mentioned layoffs and reported that Halo will not be the only property moving under the Activision Blizzard King umbrella: “Also other studios will be moved to different companies as part of Xbox/MS.”
