William Baldwin refused to kiss Sharon Stone on the set of “Sliver”

William Baldwin has opened up about the strained professional relationship he endured with Sharon Stone while filming the 1993 erotic thriller Sliver. Appearing on a recent episode of the Unleashed podcast, the actor detailed how interference from producer Robert Evans created a deeply uncomfortable environment that eventually impacted their performance during a key romantic scene.

Stone had previously disclosed in her memoir that she faced immense pressure from Evans, who suggested she enter into a real-life intimate relationship with Baldwin to improve their on-screen chemistry. According to Baldwin, this incident fundamentally shifted their dynamic, casting a shadow of tension over their time on set.

Evans later approached Baldwin with a similar suggestion. The situation reached a breaking point near the end of production, when the actors were scheduled to film one final intimate sequence.

Ultimately, Baldwin requested that the scene be restaged to exclude a kiss between the two leads.

“It’s just sad and disappointing that it turned out that way,”

Baldwin remarked while reflecting on the experience.
