Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun II Gets New Trailer With Release Date
Retro shooter Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun II is scheduled to launch on October 14 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Alongside the release date announcement, the developers released a new trailer featuring a snippet of the game’s original soundtrack. The music is composed by Mick Gordon, known for his work on DOOM (2016), DOOM Eternal, and Wolfenstein: The New Order.
The events of Boltgun II continue the story from the original game. Ultramarine Malum Caedo and Sister of Battle Naira Veyrat travel to an isolated star system following reports of surging Chaos activity. The heroes soon find themselves facing Vashtorr, a powerful demonic entity.
Vashtorr awakens a massive daemon engine at the core of a planet, triggering a catastrophic explosion that wipes out a large portion of the Imperial fleet. Malum and Naira must travel across multiple worlds to destroy the corruption fueling Vashtorr’s machinery and find a way to banish the daemon back to the Warp.
