Welcome to the 85th edition of our Ready or Not Development Briefing, dated April 25th, 2025.
Anticipate the console debut of Ready or Not this summer, as revealed on our YouTube channel and during the Twitch Galaxies stream! We’ll launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X | S, featuring full crossplay across platforms. This briefing will address key queries concerning ronsole.
A complimentary update, “Los Sueños Stories” (LSS), will be released concurrently with ronsole. This will introduce four new weapons, three difficulty levels, and two reimagined maps that were previously gray blockouts during Early Access. In this briefing, explore the TRPL pepper ball pistol, M32A1 rotary grenade launcher, 590M magazine-fed shotgun, and MK-V .50 AE pistol.
Note: These development briefings aim to keep you informed about our ongoing support for Ready or Not. However, they do not detail all current projects. Be aware that the content may still be in progress and subject to alteration.

The LSS update introduces 4 new weapons, designed to fill strategic gaps in the game.
The TRPL pepper ball pistol is a non-lethal, multi-shot sidearm that disperses OC gas clouds, offering greater range than a taser, with 7 rounds per magazine—ideal for shield users seeking less-lethal options.
Despite its advantages, it lacks immediate impact compared to a taser, requiring strategic usage to avoid solo combat. Consider the spicy loadout: VPL-25, TRPL, pepper spray, CS gas grenades, and a CS launcher. Don’t forget your gas mask!

This magazine-fed pump-action shotgun boasts a 10-round detachable box magazine, standing out from other RoN shotguns loaded individually. It allows a rapid reload of 10 shells simultaneously, though swapping shell types individually is more challenging, and tactical reloads may leave partly loaded mags.

The grenade launcher features a six-shot 40mm cylinder for flashbang and CS gas rounds. Its revolving cylinder simply cycles to the next round without needing manual reloads between shots.

A heavily modified 1911 frame chambers the formidable .50 AE cartridge, offering fast magazine swaps. While control over recoil and shot timing is vital, some may find the existing .357 magnum more pragmatic.

The aim of our new difficulty system is to provide players with varied experiences and open up fresh opportunities not seen in Standard mode. Extensive playtesting has informed our efforts to refine the system, focusing on aspects like trap deployment.
In Casual mode, players will feel more in control and less pressured by suspects. For instance, on levels containing traps, there may be fewer or non-lethal traps, and SWAT AI will provide more time to engage with suspects.
However, on Hard mode, the philosophy of increased possibilities is evident, with expanded suspect behaviors and challenges. Levels previously without traps may now include them, and suspect behavior becomes less predictable and more strategic, transforming familiar levels into unpredictable battlegrounds where readiness is imperative.
