VIZ Media Launches Countdown to Share Future of Naruto in October
VIZ Media will outline the future of the Naruto franchise during a dedicated panel titled “Naruto: What’s Next?” scheduled for October 10 at New York Comic Con 2026. An official countdown is currently live on the event website, where organizers plan to unveil a development roadmap and announce upcoming franchise projects.

TV Tokyo Holdings previously indicated that the original anime’s 25th anniversary marks the start of a new era for the brand. Beginning in 2027, the company aims to release new animation and video games produced alongside external partners. The October showcase is expected to provide the initial details on those endeavors.
Fans are also anticipating updates regarding previously announced works. The Boruto anime adaptation has remained on hiatus since March 2023. Meanwhile, the four brand-new special episodes of the original Naruto series, which Studio Pierrot postponed to improve production quality, still lack a revised premiere window.

Special guests for the panel include Junko Takeuchi and Noriaki Sugiyama, the Japanese voice actors for Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha, respectively. The presentation will begin at midnight on October 11, Moscow time.
