Viola Davis to Star in Paramount+ Corporate Thriller
Academy Award and Emmy-winning actress Viola Davis, celebrated for her gripping performance in How to Get Away with Murder, is set to star in Ascent, a brand-new series commissioned by Paramount+.
Davis will portray Katrina Vale, a formidable “fixer” who specializes in navigating the high-stakes crises faced by elite corporations. When her own daughter becomes entangled in a dangerous situation, Katrina must deploy every ounce of her strategic expertise to secure her rescue.
The project is spearheaded by Oscar-nominated creator John Logan, acclaimed for his writing on Gladiator and the recent Michael Jackson biopic, Michael. Beyond her starring role, Davis will also serve as an executive producer. Production for the series is slated to commence in 2027.
