Vintage Shooter “Mouse: P.I. For Hire” Solves Release Date Mystery — Coming Next March

After years of teasing its distinctive blend of 1930s-inspired black-and-white animation and frenetic shooter mechanics, Mouse: P.I. For Hire now has a firm launch date. Fumi Games and PlaySide Studios recently pushed the project into 2026, and during the Galaxies Gaming Showcase they revealed the exact day: the game will arrive on March 19, 2026.

The announcement on the game’s Steam community page teases a noir-tinged mystery: players will follow P.I. Pepper through a compact world brimming with corruption, murder, and conspiracy. The developer promises a narrative-driven detective experience, lively locales to explore, a big-band jazz soundtrack that complements the period style, and an arsenal of cartoonish weapons and power-ups.
