We are thrilled to unveil a fresh look at Inverness, a meticulously crafted city arriving as a centerpiece of our upcoming UK Rework project for Euro Truck Simulator 2. Let’s explore what awaits you in this majestic northern destination.
Regarded as the “Gateway to the Highlands,” Inverness is a pivotal hub for commerce, tourism, and logistics in Northern Scotland. Nestled at the mouth of the River Ness and situated within reach of the legendary Loch Ness, this historic city seamlessly blends rugged, ancient beauty with contemporary infrastructure.
One of the most arresting sights you’ll encounter is the iconic Kessock Bridge. Spanning the Beauly Firth to link Inverness with the Black Isle, this suspension bridge is a defining silhouette on the horizon. As you navigate through the city’s industrial districts, you’ll be treated to stunning vistas of this architectural marvel.
Cruising through the heart of the city, you’ll enjoy serene riverside views, including some of Inverness’s most recognizable boutique hotels. Our design team has taken great care to faithfully recreate key landmarks, such as the modern Inverness Justice Centre and the Caledonian Stadium—the latter of which boasts arguably the most picturesque sporting backdrop in the entire country.
Beyond the city streets, Inverness offers an expansive landscape defined by rolling hills and dramatic Highland terrain. It serves as the perfect launchpad for any journey into the United Kingdom’s most scenic wilderness. It is easy to see why this region draws millions of adventurers every year.
While the sightseeing is exceptional, there is plenty of honest work to be done. Inverness provides two primary industrial zones where drivers can source and deliver vital cargo. You can help power the regional economy by hauling loads from the local oil facility or managing logistics through the Port of Inverness, where the warehouses bustle with activity linked to maritime trade.
