We’re delighted to announce the official release date of the Iceland DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2, which brings the striking landscapes of this island nation to your virtual hauls.

Few places on Earth rival Iceland for sheer variety. Volcanic activity and ancient glaciers have carved out an extraordinary mix of terrain, from soaring volcanoes and sprawling ice fields to rugged coastlines, black sand beaches, and thundering waterfalls. Every bend in the road reveals something remarkable, and now you can take it all in from the cab of your truck.

You’ll have 14 cities and settlements to explore, among them Reykjavík and Akureyri. The legendary Ring Road ties the island together, linking bustling towns, tranquil villages, windswept shores, and far-flung corners. Each route offers a fresh glimpse into Iceland’s singular character.

Along the way, you’ll pass some of the country’s best-known natural landmarks, including Jökulsárlón, Goðafoss, Gullfoss, Seljalandsfoss, Víkurfjara, Geysir, and Þingvellir, plus many more. You’ll also meet narrow single-lane bridges where you must yield to oncoming traffic, which adds an extra measure of realism and caution to your trips. Whether you’re skirting majestic mountains, crossing wide plains and lava fields, or threading between towering cliffs, the island’s spectacular scenery is always within view.

Iceland offers far more than natural beauty, though. The DLC introduces a diverse range of industries and cargo opportunities, from custom-built farms and quarries to a one-of-a-kind silica factory in Húsavík. Each site brings its own flavour to the game and gives you plenty of reasons to keep rolling across the island.

Once darkness falls, remember to glance upward. In the right conditions, the Northern Lights may light up the landscape and provide a memorable backdrop for your deliveries. For even deeper immersion, the length of daylight faithfully mirrors Iceland’s real-world seasons, lending your travels an added touch of authenticity.
