It’s been wonderful to watch so many of you already cruising the highways of behind the wheel of the new Ford vehicles from the , which launched last month. If the feature bundled with that DLC has caught your fancy, there’s even more waiting for you!

Update 1.62 brings this exploration feature to a wider range of map expansions. Fresh Tourist Boards, packed with new Points of Interest, Viewpoints, and Photo Trophies, are ready to be discovered in , , , , , , , , and . Each of these states receives one new Tourist Board, while gets two. Every Tourist Board you complete earns you a brand-new postcard!

There’s more still. Route 66 is marking its 100th anniversary this year, and with the in May, we finished bringing its full journey to American Truck Simulator. To honor the occasion, we’re introducing a new Cross-Border Tourist Board devoted entirely to this iconic road.
The Route 66 Cross-Border Tourist Board highlights exploration locations along the legendary highway as it winds through , , , , , , Arizona, and California. Depending on which DLCs you own, the Route 66 board appears as a single active Tourist Board in both the Atlas and the game world. Visiting it reveals every available exploration location along the route within the states you own.

Even if you don’t own every relevant map expansion, you can still explore the locations in the states you have. However, claiming the special postcard reward requires owning all the map expansions the Route 66 Cross-Border Tourist Board covers, and visiting every exploration location tied to it. There’s a bonus, too: completing this board also rewards you with an exclusive Route 66 Air Freshener accessory!

Should you activate the Cross-Border Tourist Board without owning every expansion it spans, a pop-up will let you know which DLCs are missing. You can also find this information in the Atlas interface, in the Cross-Border Tourist Board’s list of individual locations, which shows which exploration locations you’re missing and the DLCs they belong to.
The Cross-Border Tourist Board will still be listed under “List of All Tourist Boards” even if you lack some of the required expansions. Rest assured, it won’t have any effect on your statistics in the Atlas Overview or Career Progress.

We hope you enjoy discovering the new Tourist Boards once update 1.62 arrives! To get ready, pick up the on Steam today, or add the upcoming to your Steam wishlist.
