Ubisoft Previews New Operator, Rank, and Map Update for Rainbow Six Siege Operation Split Fire
Ubisoft showcased upcoming content for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege during an August presentation, detailing what players can expect from Operation Split Fire. The upcoming update brings a new operator, adjustments to an existing map, and additional competitive features to the tactical shooter.
The new defender, Noor, specializes in countering shield-bearing operators. Using the Horus Spear Launcher, Noor can fire five projectiles that pierce through shields and destructible surfaces before detonating into flames.
According to the development team, Noor’s projectiles can also strike through floors, ceilings, and from adjacent rooms. The launcher can target shields, environment surfaces, and utility deployed by other operators, such as Castle’s Armor Panels or Azami’s Kiba Barriers.
Ubisoft also introduced the new rank “Legend Division — The Ultimate Rank” alongside updates to the Villa map. Rather than a full rework, the developers adjusted specific sections of the map “to create new strategic opportunities and diversify bomb site setups.”
Operation Split Fire is expected to launch on the live servers of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege on September 1.
