Total War: Warhammer 3 developers announce new DLC “Tides of Torment” as players lose access to older expansions

Longstanding issues have resurfaced.

The creators of Total War: WARHAMMER III have released the trailer for the Tides of Torment expansion. While some players are excitedly discussing the incoming content, others have taken to forums to voice concerns.

After a recent patch that included AI improvements, several Total War: WARHAMMER III players reported losing access to a number of units. According to user reports, the problem appears to have affected those who do not own earlier titles in the franchise.

A representative from Creative Assembly assured players that the change was unintentional and that a fix is forthcoming.

The team found that the affected units are largely associated with the free DLC The 30th Anniversary Regiments. “There are a few additional units that encountered this issue as well; we are working to restore them in a single patch,” they said.
