Actor Tim Curry has died at his home in Los Angeles on August 25, according to recent media reports.
A cause of death has not been disclosed at this time. The actor experienced ongoing health issues after suffering a stroke in 2012.
Curry’s acting career began in the late 1960s. He became widely known for his roles in films such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Loaded Weapon 1, and the television miniseries adaptation of Stephen King’s It.

Many gamers recognize Curry for his performance in the real-time strategy game Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, where he played the charismatic Premier Anatoly Cherdenko, inspiring numerous internet memes. He also lent his voice to characters in games such as Brütal Legend and Dragon Age: Origins.
Over his decades-long career, Curry earned acclaim across stage and screen. He won a Daytime Emmy Award for his role as Captain James T. Hook in Peter Pan and the Pirates and received multiple Tony Award nominations for his work in theater.
