The Spectacular Spider-Man Star Josh Keaton to Voice Eddie Brock in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
Josh Keaton has confirmed that he is voicing Eddie Brock in the second season of the animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. The actor announced the news in character while teasing fans who failed to spot Brock in footage screened at D23.
“You may have caught a glimpse of me in the clip for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Though how could anyone miss a jawline and eyebrows like these? See you in Season 2.Eddie Brock”
The role marks a switch for Keaton, who spent years playing Peter Parker. He is widely recognized for headlining the animated series The Spectacular Spider-Man, later reprising his version of the character in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and several Marvel video games ranging from Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions to the fighting game Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls.
Brock’s debut coincides with the introduction of the symbiote. In the preview shown at D23, the entity bonds with Peter Parker and turns his classic red-and-blue suit black. Keaton’s involvement directly points toward Venom’s eventual arrival, though whether Brock transforms into the villain during the second season remains unconfirmed.
Season 2 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in January 2027.
