Christopher Nolan’s epic, “The Odyssey,” has officially secured its place as the highest-grossing film in Universal Studios’ history, unadjusted for inflation.

The feature has amassed a staggering $1.68 billion globally, surpassing the previous studio record held by 2015’s “Jurassic World,” which finished its run with $1.67 billion.

Notably, “The Odyssey” recently became the first non-franchise project since “Avatar” to surpass the $1 billion mark at the international box office. The star-studded adaptation of Homer’s epic poem features performances by Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, and others.

The film is slated for its digital release on November 17. Industry analysts suggest that its total box office haul could climb to between $1.8 billion and $2 billion before it arrives on streaming platforms.
