“The Mummy 4” filming has begun
Actor Brendan Fraser has confirmed that production for the fourth installment of The Mummy franchise is officially underway.
Fraser is set to reprise his iconic role as adventurer Rick O’Connell. The star-studded cast will also feature Rachel Weisz, *Obsession* breakout Michael Johnston, John Hannah, Kevin J. O’Connor, and Oded Fehr, among others.
The Mummy 4 will be helmed by directing duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, known for their work on *Ready or Not* and the *Scream* reboot. Universal Pictures is handling distribution, with the film slated for an international theatrical release on October 15, 2027.
