The Handmaid’s Tale season two to be released in October
Streaming platforms Ivi and START have officially announced that the highly anticipated second season of the period drama “The Maid’s Tale” will debut this October.
The series premiered in June to a massive viewership. Set in 19th-century Moscow, the plot centers on Count Nikolai Sheremetev, a bachelor who must marry within a year to secure his vast inheritance. His life becomes entangled with noblewoman Anna Averina, who strikes a desperate bargain: she agrees to enter his service in exchange for his help in saving her family from financial ruin.
The cast features performances by Matvey Lykov, Milana Bru, Ekaterina Guseva, Viktor Vasiliev, and other notable actors. The first season spanned a total of 90 episodes.
