“The Game Is Ready for Release”: Escape from Tarkov Servers Crash and the System Asks Players to Repurchase the Game

The servers decided to “take a nap” on Friday evening.

Fans of Escape from Tarkov were ready to head into the weekend, but joining a raid didn’t go smoothly — the servers went offline.

Battlestate Games issued a message to players:

“We are currently experiencing interruptions at the data center that supports Escape from Tarkov, EFT Arena, and the official game websites. This may cause access issues. We apologize for the inconvenience.”

Members of the community began airing complaints — “the beer’s going flat” — and one person joked, “the game’s ready for release.” Some players reported another issue: for some reason the installed game client stopped being recognized by the system, and they’re being prompted to repurchase Tarkov.
