Tales of Xillia Remaster Arrives on PC and Consoles — First Reviews Are Online
For several years the Tales franchise has largely relied on reissues of past entries — it hasn’t seen a brand-new release in more than four years.
However, that isn’t necessarily negative. Many jRPG fans still haven’t had the chance to play every title in the series, since many of them were released as platform exclusives — on PS1, PSP, PS2, GameCube, Wii, PS Vita, or PS3.
That’s why Bandai Namco continues to revive overlooked hits. After remasters of Tales of Vesperia, Tales of Symphonia, and Tales of Graces f, Tales of Xillia Remastered has now been released — it launched on Friday.
Originally exclusive to the PlayStation 3, the game remained out of reach for many players. The refreshed edition now gives people the chance to play both entries in the series for the first time.
While professional reviews have not yet been published, early player feedback on Steam is positive — 81% of reviews (after more than 100 opinions) rate the remaster favorably.
