Take-Two Says It Wants to Remain Independent Despite Netflix Collaboration on GTA VI

The companies have indeed signed many agreements.

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick stated that the company does not plan to become part of Netflix. His comment came amid preparations for a special Grand Theft Auto VI screening that the streaming service will host at the end of August.

In an interview with CNBC, Zelnick discussed the collaboration between Take-Two and Netflix. According to him, the companies have already concluded “a whole series of deals”, which has established a strong partnership between them. At the same time, the head of Take-Two made it clear that he does not expect an acquisition of the publisher by Netflix.

Answering a question about possible purchase offers for Take-Two from Netflix, Zelnick noted that the streaming giant has historically preferred organic growth over large acquisitions.

He also emphasized the financial stability of Take-Two. According to him, the company expects to generate more than $8 billion in revenue this year and continues to remain consistently profitable.
