Fan Remake of Fallout 3 on Fallout: New Vegas Engine Shown With Ray Reconstruction and Neural Rendering
A modder is working on what amounts to a remake of Fallout 3 running on the Fallout: New Vegas engine. The modder is upgrading the Tale of Two Wastelands mod, which combines the two games, with NVIDIA RTX Remix, a toolset for quickly creating remasters.
The modder, who goes by Youtube Viewer, posted a short video showing progress on “Fallout TTW with RTX Remix.” The project uses Ray Reconstruction and neural rendering:
I’m working on combining RTX Remix, Ray Reconstruction, and neural rendering with Tale of Two Wastelands, using Nuclear Sunset as the base for the mod build. I’m interested to see how these rendering technologies change familiar locations, and I wanted to share the current state of the project.
Youtube Viewer said he has spent the past few weeks “bringing these components together.” He has also been integrating, configuring, and testing the technologies. He is now fixing rendering issues and plans to improve performance.

The project builds on other modifications. Youtube Viewer thanked the authors of Tale of Two Wastelands and of the other mods and tools he uses in his build.
