Hacker voices38 explains absence and why they have cracked fewer Denuvo games
The hacker known as voices38 says the slowdown in new Denuvo cracks has nothing to do with legal pressure. Denuvo’s lawyers apparently haven’t scared them off.
In September, it emerged that Denuvo’s lawyers had decided to sue voices38, a well-known hacker (or hacker group). They had already cracked many games, both new and older, protected by this DRM. Players feared the story was over after the hacker went quiet for a while. Then voices38 returned and released several cracks at once.
More recently, the hacker announced Denuvo cracks for two SEGA games. Even so, the pace of new releases from voices38 has dropped noticeably. Some members of the piracy community asked why the hacker had disappeared and was releasing new cracks less often.
According to the hacker, the reason is not legal threats. Voices38 made it clear that they will keep cracking Denuvo and said they have “focused on building better tools.”

This month, voices38 released cracks for two games in the Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles franchise. The hacker did not say which Denuvo-protected game they plan to crack next.
