Saros Zenith Update Adds Slow Game Speed, Auto-Fire and Other Options to Make Combat Easier
Housemarque has released Zenith, a free update for the action shooter Saros that adds new modes and accessibility options. According to lead game designer Abebe Tinari, the developers had two main goals: to give more content to players who have already explored the world of Carcosa, and to make the game more accessible to a new audience.
One of the main additions is New Game+, which lets players replay the game with extra challenges. The update also adds Overlord Rush, a mode built around boss fights. In it, enemies are split into groups of up to three bosses each. The final group combines all of the game’s bosses.
The developers also expanded the difficulty and accessibility settings. Players can now slow down enemy projectiles, which makes it easier to react to dangerous attacks and dodge during intense firefights.
Another key feature is auto-fire. When it is enabled, the character fires automatically whenever the weapon is aimed at a hostile target. Reloading still requires input from the player.
