ETS2 1.50 Switzerland Rework: Weigh Stations and Viewpoints

On December 28, 2023, SCS Software presented the weigh stations and viewpoints built for the Switzerland rework in Euro Truck Simulator 2. The redesigned country arrived in the free 1.50 update on May 14, 2024.

Weigh stations on Swiss routes

Vehicle checkpoints were added at Saint-Maurice, Erstfeld and Rothenbrunnen. Drivers can be called in for a vehicle condition and weight inspection at these locations. SCS Software connected the feature with Switzerland’s tunnels and mountain roads, where transport checks form a visible part of the road infrastructure.

Viewpoints in Geneva, Zurich and the Furka Pass

Panoramic stops were placed in central Geneva, central Zurich and the Furka Pass. The marked locations cover views of Lake Geneva, Alpine peaks, the pass’s steep slopes and the area around the source of the Rhône. Two more viewpoints are hidden on secret roads, and the original announcement did not reveal their positions.
