Sony Pictures has secured the cinematic rights to the Labubu toy line, The Hollywood Reporter says.
Few details about the feature-length adaptation have been disclosed, and no director or creative lead has been announced.
The Labubu character was conceived by Hong Kong designer Lun Kasin. The plush toy depicts an elf-like girl with a toothy grin. First released in 2019, Labubu only gained mass popularity in 2025.
