Sony to Let Players Play Multiplayer for Free Without PS Plus — December Promo Starts Soon
All players will receive full multiplayer access for a short multi-day period.
On consoles, multiplayer in premium titles typically requires payment — it’s provided to subscribers of PlayStation Plus. That said, Sony occasionally runs special promotions.
A new Free Online Multiplayer Weekend is about to begin — for a few days, PlayStation owners will be able to play multiplayer without a PS Plus subscription.
Sony listed several sample titles: Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, EA Sports FC 26, and Battlefield 6.
Free multiplayer on PlayStation will be available from December 6 to 7, 2025.
