The gaming community has long held out hope for an official Steam debut of Minecraft.
Following a significant leak of Minecraft’s source code for PC, PlayStation, and various other consoles, opportunistic individuals have attempted to exploit the situation.
A mysterious listing titled “Kogama” recently surfaced on Steam, but eagle-eyed players were quick to identify the project as a repackaged version of the leaked Minecraft Console Edition.
As news of the Kogama page spread rapidly across social media and forums, it drew immediate scrutiny. Valve was swift to act, purging the unauthorized page from the Steam storefront shortly after it gained traction.
The project’s credits listed Michal Kogama and the “Legacy Edition Team” as the developers responsible for the upload.
