Skyrim Revoiced Announced — Modder Works with Voice Actors to Give the Game New Voices
Bethesda’s in-game characters will soon sound refreshed.
Skyrim has been available for more than ten years, and some fans are updating not just the graphics but the audio as well. There are also projects dedicated specifically to re-voicing.
Modern tools make it easy to refresh and diversify voice work by generating lines, but the quality of such generated content is often underwhelming.
The creator of the Skyrim Revoiced project decided to take things further — they are now collaborating with professional voice actors to record lines:
I’ve assembled a team of talented voice actors to provide voices for roughly 50 NPCs in Skyrim. The mod is still in active development, but look forward to its release! In addition, numerous patches for many popular mods will be available by launch. Enjoy the preview!
