Players can now put their cleaning skills to the test across a variety of environments — PowerWash Simulator 2 has launched, and early impressions are very positive.

The original endeared itself to players with its minimalist charm, calming atmosphere, and unexpectedly engrossing gameplay. The developers kept interest alive with numerous expansions — from collaborations with Tomb Raider to Final Fantasy VII. Now a full-fledged sequel has arrived.

PowerWash Simulator 2 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The game is also included in Xbox Game Pass, so subscribers can play at launch without additional cost.

Critics have been generous: the OpenCritic average stands at 84% from 22 reviews. FuturLab broadened the original concept by adding more locations, modes, and tools. Reviewers especially praise the variety of maps, the improved pacing, realistic water and grime effects, and the cooperative mode. The game retains its relaxing tone while presenting fresh challenges.

Some reviews point out a lack of new mechanics — certain gameplay segments feel familiar. Critics also mention minor technical issues on consoles and inconsistent difficulty in later stages.
