SCS Software showcases new Atlas POI mechanic in American Truck Simulator gameplay
Players will be able to earn rewards for exploring locations.
The developers of the truck driving simulator American Truck Simulator have published a new development diary for the Road Trip mode. Players will be able to set out to explore the game world using regular cars.
SCS Software previously detailed the new Atlas system, which will make driving cars in American Truck Simulator more engaging by adding elements that organize the process of exploring locations and reward players. For example, players will have the opportunity to collect cab decorations.
In a recent diary, the developers decided to show the Atlas mechanic in action by releasing a gameplay overview trailer of driving a car in American Truck Simulator. The new system will be available in the main menu under the Navigation tab. In the interface, players can track a list of places that have not yet been explored, select a point of interest, and plot a route to it.

The developers have not yet announced a release date for the Road Trip regular car mode for American Truck Simulator. You can add the Ford Car Pack and RAM & Dodge Car Pack add-ons to your Steam wishlist using the following link and here.
