Sakamoto Days Season 2 Character Trailer Features Three New Characters

Netflix has released a character trailer for the second season of Sakamoto Days, introducing three key figures ahead of the anime’s return in early 2027.

The new preview highlights Taro Sakamoto’s former mentor Etsuko Satoda, student Amane Yotsumura, and his father, Satoru Yotsumura.

In the upcoming season, Sakamoto and Shin head undercover into the JCC, the assassin training academy, to gather intelligence on the enigmatic Slur, who is also known as X. At the same time, ORDER members Nagumo, Shishiba, and Osaragi travel to Kyoto on an assignment and run into an ambush. As the story progresses, the series will explore the shared past of Sakamoto, Nagumo, Rion, and Slur.

TMS Entertainment is handling animation production once again. Daisuke Nakajima steps in as director for the second season, succeeding Masaki Watanabe, who remains on the production staff as chief director. Yo Moriyama returns as character designer, while Taku Kishimoto continues to oversee series composition.

Sakamoto Days Season 2 is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Netflix in January 2027.
