Roguelike Shooter Armatus from Godfall Developers to Launch in January
Publisher Fictions and developer Counterplay Games, known for the action title Godfall, have announced the release date for their upcoming project, Armatus. The third-person roguelite shooter will launch on January 17 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2. The title will also be available on Game Pass.
Armatus takes place in the ruins of an apocalyptic Paris overrun by demons. As reality collapses around them, the remaining survivors shelter behind sacred barriers, believing they are the last remnants of humanity.
Players step into the role of the last supernatural warrior from an ancient order. Wielding firearms, a scythe, and celestial abilities, the protagonist must fight through the demonic Parisian landscape to locate a lost gateway to heaven known as the Sunless Gate.
As players advance, the familiar streets of the French capital transform into increasingly bleak and surreal hellscapes, pitting the warrior against progressively stronger and more grotesque demonic creatures.
