Robert Englund, best known as the face of the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, was honored with a named star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony took place on the eve of Halloween, October 31.
The actor who brought Freddy Krueger to life thanked attendees for their long-standing support. Among those who came to congratulate him were Nightmare co-star Heather Langenkamp and director Eli Roth.
Englund’s career spans more than 100 films. He last slipped into the Krueger makeup for the 2010 remake of Nightmare on Elm Street.
