Rival to The Sims 4 Adds Funerals — inZOI Releases Halloween Update with New Content
The developers have introduced additional features and more.
The creators of the life simulator inZOI returned in late October with a substantial 0.4.0 update that delivers new content and gameplay adjustments.
Notable improvements and additions:
- Pumpkins have been added as a new crop. They can be grown and harvested by players or purchased from the Agricultural Goods Store or the Pocket Market.
- After death, Zoi can choose the “Proceed to the Afterlife” option and become a ghost.
- New locations have been added: a Funeral Home, a columbarium, and a Cemetery. When Zoi or their acquaintances die while in town, an urn containing ashes appears. You can hold a funeral ceremony via the “Create Event” menu option.
- The urn can be placed in the cemetery using the “Bury” interaction.
- The daily cycle and Zoi’s mental state have been refined to make gameplay feel more natural and realistic.
- The in-game day now lasts 48 minutes. According to the developers, this change improves overall system balance — including the length of needs and interactions — and makes the simulation more consistent.
- New interaction options have been added for children of various ages and for non-player Zois.
- New dialogue options — “Ask to live with you” and “Suggest living separately” — have been introduced.
- When Zoi independently satisfies their hunger, they now select and prepare a random recipe from the dishes available.
- New outfits and objects have been added.
