Director Rian Johnson has shared new insights regarding the potential fourth installment of his acclaimed Knives Out franchise.
“I have a few foundational, very early-stage concepts—the kind of ideas where you think, ‘it might be fascinating to explore something like this.’ However, nothing is concrete just yet. There is no definitive theme or setting. Everything is still quite nebulous, and I believe it should stay that way until I’m ready to sit down and actually draft the script,” Johnson revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
The whodunit series, centered on the investigations of detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig), first premiered in 2019. The sequel, Glass Onion, followed in 2022, while the third chapter, Wake Up Dead Man, debuted on Netflix last week. Currently, Johnson is also developing a new science-fiction thriller.
