Resident Evil Requiem’s Angela Sant’Albano Replaces Jennifer English in Tides of Annihilation

Tides of Annihilation, an ambitious character-action title that recently captivated audiences with its fluid combat and striking aesthetic, has officially announced a major cast change. Following the sudden departure of Jennifer English—who stepped away from the lead role of Gwendolyn to attend to personal health matters—the studio has unveiled Angela Sant’Albano as the protagonist’s new voice.

English, widely celebrated for her acclaimed portrayals of Shadowheart in Baldur’s Gate 3 and Maelle in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, was originally attached to anchor the narrative. While her exit caught the production team off guard, the developers fully endorsed her decision to prioritize her recovery.

Speculation surrounding Gwendolyn’s recast culminated during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live broadcast, where Sant’Albano—best known for her riveting turn as Grace Ashcroft in Resident Evil Requiem—was confirmed to be taking the helm.
