Remedy to Showcase Advanced Graphics in Control Resonant on PS5 Pro
Control Resonant has been tested on the PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X, and Series S, with the PS5 Pro successfully unlocking the game’s most advanced graphical capabilities.
The sequel to Control follows Dylan Faden into a distorted Manhattan, forcing the Northlight engine to handle larger semi-open environments. On the base PS5 and Xbox Series X, two modes are available: a performance mode targeting 60 FPS with a base resolution of around 864p using AMD FSR scaling, and a quality mode running at approximately 1260p and 30 FPS. Hardware ray tracing is absent in these modes.
The PS5 Pro uses PSSR scaling. In performance mode, the console reconstructs the image up to 4K while maintaining 60 FPS. The quality mode introduces hardware ray tracing for shadows and reflections at 30 FPS. A balanced mode is also available, though it can drop in smoothness during the most demanding scenes.
The Xbox Series S operates exclusively at 30 FPS and 864p. Digital Foundry highlights the game’s advanced physics and lighting on high-end PCs and the PS5 Pro.
