PvE players won’t be allowed to escape Tarkov without a wipe — Nikita Buyanov warned fans of Escape from Tarkov
Even PvE won’t spare you from the wipe.
The full release of Escape from Tarkov is slated for November 15. The game will finally include a way to escape Tarkov, but many players will find that task far from easy.
The challenge isn’t only the high difficulty. Battlestate Games head Nikita Buyanov reminded PvE fans that they’ll need to perform a wipe (reset their progress) to access the escape-related content — otherwise that new content won’t become available:
Reminder — you’ll need to wipe your PvE profile to be able to complete the PvE run. That wipe isn’t mandatory: you can keep playing on your current PvE profile, but you won’t be able to finish the game or see the ending. To PvE players: will you wipe your account at launch to start fresh and try to escape Tarkov?
In conversations with the Escape from Tarkov community, Buyanov said the wipe is “technically necessary.”
