New Details Emerge About Characters and Plot in Star Wars Episode X

It looks like Rey Skywalker will have to make way for new heroes.

According to insider FivesWalker, Lucasfilm is searching for two lesser-known actors to star in Episode X of Star Wars, which will launch Simon Kinberg’s trilogy.

The story will center on a young man who, much like Rey, grew up an orphan in harsh conditions and gets pulled into the plot after being linked to a murder. His companion will be a perfectionist young woman from high society of royal blood. Together, they will embark on a grand adventure:

“They find themselves at the center of a big adventure together, and it is she who introduces him to the broader arena where familiar Star Wars characters operate.”

FivesWalker reports that the new duo is being compared to Rey and Finn from The Force Awakens, though more attention will be paid to their romance this time. The insider also claims that Daisy Ridley will return as Rey Skywalker, but her character will take a backseat.

Hollywood media previously reported that Jon Watts could direct the new trilogy, and filming for Episode X is slated to begin in 2027. Lucasfilm has not yet officially confirmed this information.
