James Gunn Discusses Release Timeline for Season 2 of Creature Commandos
Work on the continuation is underway.
King Shark will become a permanent team member in the second season of Creature Commandos. James Gunn shared this on The Suicide Squad: Is It Canon? podcast, while also specifying that the new episodes will release shortly after the premiere of Superman:
“It will come out shortly after Superman. And one of the characters in Creature Commandos, as was shown at the end of last season, will be King Shark. So he will be a permanent member in the second season.”

The second season will take place after the events of Peacemaker season 2. Nosferatu will join the team, voiced by Sydney Chandler. Khalis and the restored G.I. Robot are also expected to return, alongside the Bride and Doctor Phosphorus. In The Suicide Squad, King Shark (Nanaue) was voiced by Sylvester Stallone. It is currently unknown whether the actor will return to the role in the animated series.
Superman will release on July 9, 2027.
