Pre-Orders for Warhammer 40,000 Ork Miniatures and New Codex Open August 22
Games Workshop has unveiled an extensive wave of Warhammer 40,000 Ork releases scheduled to go up for pre-order on August 22, 2026. The lineup features the faction’s new edition codex alongside new and standalone miniature kits.
The updated Codex: Orks includes 15 detachments, expanded “Waaagh!” rules, and datasheets for more than 50 units. Each copy contains a digital code for the Warhammer 40,000 app. This code provides ongoing access to regular balance passes, extra detachments, lore expansions, and hobby guides.

A collector’s edition of the codex will also be available, bound in hardcover with full gold foil cover stamping, green foiled page edges, and a green ribbon bookmark. Leading the miniature releases is Warboss Nazdreg Ug Urdgrub, equipped with his Kustom X-Blasta and Moonfang power klaw.

A standard Warboss kit offers multiple weapon and gear loadouts, including a kustom choppa, power klaw, kustom shoota, kombi-rokkit, and kombi-skorcha. The box also includes cosmetic options such as an attack squig, several boss pole finials, and interchangeable heads and iron gobs.

Supporting kits include a Mekboy, Boyz equipped with choppas, sluggas, big shootas, rokkit launchas, and skorchas, alongside Warbikers and a customizable Trukk kit. The Ork Command Pack arrives with 94 reference cards and 36 double-sided tokens to track rules and in-game statuses.

Players can also grab a set of 16 themed dice cast in green marbled acrylic, featuring red pips and the faction sigil on the six face. Several kits previously bundled in the Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon box set will receive individual retail releases as well.

These standalone additions include the Big Mek’s Dakkarig, a Weirdboy, a Warbuggy, and a command retinue consisting of a Nob banner bearer, a Warboss, and a Painboy accompanied by an Orderly Grot.
On the publishing side, Black Library is releasing a special edition of Steve Parker’s Deathwatch novel, an illustrated edition of Nate Crowley’s Ghazghkull Thraka: Prophet of the Waaagh!, Justin D. Hill’s Bjorn Stormhand in hardcover and eBook formats, and a paperback edition of Andy Clark’s The Devastator.

All listed items are scheduled to hit store shelves on September 5, 2026.
