I’m sharing this update slightly ahead of schedule. I wanted to reach out personally because I sincerely regret releasing this build before fully stabilizing the core game experience. Paradoxically, the further we advance in development, the more hidden complexities we uncover. While these discoveries are part of our learning process, it is heavy work—yet we remain steadfast and optimistic about the path ahead.
I am deeply aware of your patience and your desire for meaningful improvements. Starting next week, our development cycle will shift entirely toward refining the foundation of inZOI and ensuring that our existing features coalesce into a more cohesive experience.
Our primary objective for the next update is to deepen the synergy between our current systems, striving to make inZOI feel as authentic and intuitive as real life. We are approaching this through two distinct strategies:
- Optimized Numerical Control: We are fine-tuning the internal logic—including character behavior, prioritization, scheduling, and simulation flow—to ensure a more responsive and realistic environment.
- Active Situation Management: We are introducing tools that grant you greater agency to monitor, influence, and steer in-game events, ensuring the simulation feels both intentional and interconnected.
I apologize once more that this latest build fell short of our ultimate goals regarding stability and depth. Nevertheless, I ask for your continued trust. The team is actively listening to your feedback and evolving alongside you. As the saying goes, “it is always darkest before the dawn.” While we have much to improve, I am confident that our dedication will bring us to the vision we’ve all been striving for.
I’ve released today’s video early to ensure it reached you promptly. It highlights a potential direction for the project: by empowering our community to help address certain limitations through mods, we might be able to accelerate the game’s evolution in areas that are otherwise difficult for us to tackle immediately.
