Build Mode Update

Greetings, everyone. We are back with another Friday developer update. Autumn has officially settled here in Korea, and much like the virtual landscapes in inZOI, the foliage outside is brilliantly shifting into vibrant shades of gold and crimson.
First and foremost, I want to express my deepest gratitude for your overwhelming enthusiasm and constructive feedback following the October 23 launch of “Brainstorm with Kjun: Celebrity Update.” Introducing auditions, choreography, concerts, and the brand-new city of Evermont sparked incredible discussions. Alongside your excitement, we carefully reviewed your concerns and suggestions. Today, I’d like to address the primary topics we gathered this week and outline the enhancements we are planning for the future.
Expanding the Celebrity Experience and Core Mechanics
For the Celebrity Update, we are actively exploring diverse career paths that go far beyond stardom—including acting, modeling, and joining musical bands. We also aim to implement a comprehensive progression system that lets Zois evolve from humble street performances to headlining major arenas. To elevate replayability, we want to tie performance slip-ups and audience reactions directly to skill levels, foster greater crowd diversity and engagement, and intertwine these experiences seamlessly with each Zoi’s unique personality and daily routine.
Additionally, we want to make it clear that core features, such as our social network platform Bubbly, will never be locked behind paid DLC.
We are also reviewing feedback regarding regional immersion, actively considering a redesign of Dowon’s school buses to better capture the aesthetic of authentic Korean school buses while tailoring vehicle designs distinctively to each region.
Upcoming Hotfixes and Bug Resolution
Our upcoming patch will directly target several pressing issues, including Canvas texture redundancy, specific client crashes, and portrait rendering anomalies. We will also introduce a simple On/Off toggle for the camera spotlight.
Beyond that, our team is hard at work squashing a variety of graphical and environmental bugs. These include Young Adult female outfits reverting incorrectly outside of Formal wear, eyelash customization glitches, floating fingernails and persistent gaps between footwear and feet, facial tracking clipping issues with the tongue, intermittent light flickering, and intrusive trees clipping into the residential lot at 3140 Green Way Street.
We are also resolving community-reported snags, such as Zois becoming temporarily trapped in vehicles, bait, seeds, and gifts being unintentionally discarded, and misaligned hand placements during wedding ceremonies.
Furthermore, we are investigating inventory anomalies where items vanish during display stand restocking, discrepancies in character limits between the Canvas Web portal and in-game Canvas, and operational restrictions tied to the Getbabywith cheat.
Refining Fundamentals and Deepening Simulation
Your requests to strengthen the core simulation mechanics—rather than solely chasing flashy new features—have resonated deeply with us. We take this feedback very seriously.
Our goal is to make Zois’ personalities and traits far more transparent through visible behaviors by introducing richer, more distinct reactions. At the same time, we want to empower NPCs with greater autonomy. Imagine NPCs taking the initiative to ask someone out on a date, confess their hidden affections, or pop the question entirely on their own.
One particular piece of community feedback truly struck a chord with me. While introducing brand-new interactions is important, this suggestion highlighted that we can achieve even greater immersion by simply breathing more life into the interactions we already possess. Seeing Zois independently return home to tackle their homework or initiate romantic proposals without player prompting is brilliant advice.
Hearing this inspiration naturally led me to think how wonderful it would be if Zois could spontaneously visit their friends’ homes on their own accord.
I genuinely wish I could reward those of you who consistently share such thoughtful concepts with us. For now, please accept my heartfelt appreciation instead.
Animation Overhauls and Quality-of-Life Improvements
We are likewise overhauling foundational animations for everyday activities—such as dining, phone conversations, retail transactions, and coffee brewing—while correcting awkward errors where hands fail to connect properly with objects or items appear to abruptly teleport. Utilizing existing game engines like Inverse Kinematics (IK), which we previously underutilized, will allow us to polish these areas to a high standard.
We also intend to extend the natural duration of interactions, giving players the freedom to cancel them at any moment or seamlessly resume them once a Zoi handles an urgent biological need.
Furthermore, we are actively discussing the official integration of several fan-favorite quality-of-life features pioneered by the modding community. These include prioritizing leftover food consumption, enabling Zois to watch television collectively without forcing a formal group interaction, eliminating loading screens when switching between family members, alongside various improvements to audio speakers, automated lighting systems, family saving logic, and vehicle despawning routines.
Thank you for wholeheartedly embracing our recent script mods. I hold a deep personal fondness for the modding community, and I firmly believe that game and mod integration will eventually merge into a singular, unified experience.
Regarding the Cartoon Filter, rather than merely reinstating the legacy UI as a static toggle, we are designing a customizable slider system so you can fine-tune the filter to match your exact aesthetic preferences. Rest assured, we will systematically tackle remaining areas needing polish.
Lastly, concerning inquiries about upcoming DLC pricing, the November patch schedule, and the timeline for our next major content update, we will release transparent details as soon as our internal roadmap discussions conclude.
As always, thank you immensely for your invaluable guidance and passion.
Wishing you all a wonderful and restful weekend.
— Kjun
