Poland’s Subnautica on Land: Astrobotanica Release Date Announced

The Subnautica franchise has become so popular that a follow-up is already underway. Polish studio Space Goblin is leveraging that interest to introduce its own title — Astrobotanica.

The game mirrors Subnautica in structure and gameplay, but its action takes place on land rather than underwater.

Astrobotanica successfully raised funds on Kickstarter this spring and is now preparing for release. The game is scheduled to enter Early Access on February 16, 2026.

Alongside the announcement the developers published a new gameplay trailer. A demo is available on Steam and can be downloaded via the link.

The creators promise a fusion of science fiction, exploration, and survival within an unusual alien ecosystem.

It’s also worth noting that the team working on the new Subnautica is currently contending with several production issues.
